Plesk for professional hosting?

Hi, I plan to have about 10-20 servers with several thousands of domains and need a control panel to manage all the hosting environment professionally. I have some question is PLESK suite my needs:

  1. Can I set in PLESK server template or per domain limitations of sending email: a) from one mailbox let to send 50 emails per 10 minutes b) from one mailbox let to send till 200 emails per 1 hour c) from one domain let to send 500 emails per 1 hour d) one email can contain up to 50...

Plesk for professional hosting?

Plesk 12.5.30, Ubuntu 14.04.5 and PHP 7.1?

I have a web application that's about to drop support for anything less than PHP 7.1.

There's no option for me to install PHP 7.1 in the Plesk Updates and Upgrades section, just PHP 7.0.

Is this due to it being an older version of Ubuntu or an older version of Plesk? I see that if i want to install 7.1 on an OS level I need to add Ondřej's PPA.

If I install it at an OS level with Apt, will Plesk see it? Will it break things? Is this completely the wrong way to do it?

Hot wo block smtp port (25) with firewall

Hi,
I want to block the smtp port with the plesk firewall admin, because I want to prevent any incoming connections to the SMTP server. The default rule "SMTP (submission port) server Deny incoming from all" is turned on, but obviously the port is not blocked because I can still connect via Telnet at port 25. Even if I manually add a rule to block port 25 for all incoming connections, the port is still open. What can be the reason for this?

I am using Plesk 12.0.18 Update #103 on Ubuntu...

How to disable services totally

Hi there,
whenever I stop a service like pop3 from Plesk, next time I restart the server, the services are enabled again. How to I configure the services so that they are not re-enabled after a restart?

Watchdog is disabled for all services.

I am using Plesk 12.0.18 Update #103 on Ubuntu 14.04.5 LTS

How to configure smtp only to send outgoing mail

what is the best practice to configur smtp in such a way that is can be only used for outgoing mails? I want to secure the server agains any attempts to use it as a spam relay.

nginx Fails, Bringing Site Down

Hi,

We had a client's site go down, and investigation showed the issue to be with nginx. The log showed multiple entries like this:

3619#0: *22389 upstream timed out (110: Connection timed out) while SSL handshaking to upstream

To get the site back up while troubleshooting, we tried to disable nginx for that site, but apparently that's not possible. Apparently it can only be done server-wide, which we think is a shortcoming.

So...
  • Has anyone experienced anything like this...

On a Linux Security Fundamentals, in the event that I need to run a command as an alternate php version, for example, introducing writer, I can run

Code:
 ea-php71 composer install
Does anybody know the comparable to doing this in a plesk server? My present composer install is utilizing php56.exe, however I have to introduce author with php 71 on command line.

IMAP auto select default folders on server

Hi,

When a mailaddress is created for a domain and I want to add it to my iPhone using IMAP, the default folders are not set correct by default.

I manually need to select that drafts, sent, deleted, archive mailbox should be On the server and not local on my iPhone.

Is there a way to set these folders by default to On the server?
This so that all customers are set correctly by default and all actions are stored on server?

Hello there.

How to create a new Screen (screen -d -m -S SomethingName sh SomethingToDoInside.sh) straight from a scheduled task

The problem: the task finishes and theres NO new screen with the specifed shell script running inside.

The screen-command works correctly on the lines before.

here's the current script (its german. but it handles a timed server-restart of a minecraft server)

i have modify upload_max_filesize & post_max_size but when i upload a file (less 200mo) with my php uploader, the upload restart a 80% ...

Symptoms: Noticed that PHP-FPM was shutting down unexpectedly after about 10-12 hours after being restarted and throwing a 502 Bad Gateway on all sites. Temporarily switched to PHP version 7.2.13 from 7.3.0 to see if this would resolve anything.

What I noticed: Been getting the following PHP warning after running this command: service php-fpm status. Not sure if it's related?

Custom Login Url without port 8443

Hi friends of Plesk,
i have a little problem.

We want change the logon url.

an example:

standard login url ist: mydomain.dom:8443

now we want to login into plesk with the domain only:

mydomain.dom (without port 8443)

netcup use ist at: webhostingcontrolpanel.de

we want the same.

our system: debian 7.9 with plesk 12.5 web host edition

any ideas? thanks for your answer ;-)

EOL 12.5 on 01/01/19 - getting 503 errors.

Starting on 1/1/19 @ 5:35 AM EDT, my website started to experience ngnix 503 communication errors. I tried restarting the Plesk service which does not help, I would have to manually REBOOT my linux server in order to restored connectivity. Connection on port 8880 basically is hung unless I restart. Is this related to the EOL on Plesk 12.5 and I need to go onto Plesk Onyx?

Can I just use the GUI Plesk Installer to perform this upgrade and also would this fix my 503 errors? I am having to...

EOL 12.5 on 01/01/19 - getting 503 errors.

Yesterday my Cron Jobs started failing withe the following error:

execv("/bin/bash") failed
system error: Permission denied

Likewise I am unable to log in to the virtual hosts files using SFTP it refuses to let any virtual host user connect using SFTP, however I can connect using FTP and I can connect to the server using SFTP using my root account.

In addition to this, in plesk, '/bin/bash (Chroot)' is missing from the Access to the server over SSH drop down list. If I change the domain...

Hi,
Searching for a problem in Apache error log i regularly see this error :
AH01068: Got bogus version 32
Followed by this one :
(22)Invalid argument: AH01075: Error dispatching request to : (passing brigade to output filters)

What to understand ? What can cause this error ?

Debian 8.5 with Plesk 12.5.30 up39
Nginx is off, PHP run as FPM by Apache.

How to renew bulk Let's Encrypt certificate...

I have tens more domains with Let's encrypt certificate in use, since I have missed several auto renew schedule, there are only 9 days left to be expired.

I would like to renew all domains by a plesk command line and won't like to click every 'update' button one by one, is it possible?

By the way, how can I modify the auto renew job schedule? or invoke a immediately auto renew for all domains?
